About the author
Michael was born in Liverpool and grew up on the Wirral peninsular in Merseyside.
He studied languages at university, and eventually became fluent in Greek, French, and Portuguese. Writing and drawing, however, were his main passions. He wrote on a wide range of topics including poetry, fiction, current affairs, and life observations. Possessing a very keen sense of humour, a lot of his work is witty and comic in nature.
He loved the city where he was born, especially it's traditions and it's maritime history, and he was an avid supported of Liverpool Football Club. Above all else, he loved people and he wanted to hear their stories.
Michael passed away in 2022, aged thirty-six. Michael left a vast about of creative work that has brought his family and friends some solace in a time of grief. We now want to share Michael's work with you, starting with his first novel 'Notes from an Alien Planet' due to be published in Autumn 2025. Over time, we will share excerpts of Michael's creative here on this website under the tab titled 'Michael's work' at the top of this page.
